We accept children 6 weeks to 12 years of age year-round. Our program reflects an equitable learning opportunity environment for all enrolled students. BSLA culture is inclusive, welcoming and supportive to all families.

Our chosen curriculum is a researched based curriculum that is centered around developmentally appropriate practices. BSLA realized that each child is unique and born wired to learn, therefore, our professional teaching staff are intentional in implementing different instructional strategies to teach the whole child and ensuring that no child is left behind.

Mission Statement

BSLA believes that every child is born wired to learn. Our chosen, researched-based, curriculum prepares each child for school success by expanding their social, physical, cognitive, and language development.

We recognize the importance of family engagement, being culturally competent, and respecting parents’ values and their right to make decisions for their children. Our staff is committed to making individualized adaptations in teaching strategies, learning environments, and the curriculum when necessary to meet the individual need of the child.

Our Program

Our curriculum has been carefully chosen to stimulate your child's desire for discovering the world around them. One of the main components of our curriculum is PLAY.... Learning while having fun.

We believe play and learning mutually support one another and our teachers

connect learning goals through play. Our learning goals are set to meet the 4 omains of development.

     1. Language Development – Includes using spoken, signed, written language to communicate.

     2. Cognitive Development – involves learning to reason and solve problems.

     3. Social/Emotional Development – Involves children’s ability to interact with other people.

     4. Physical Development – Covers the development of physical changes, which includes growing in size and strength, as well as both gross and fine motor skills.
